JTextile 1.1 is amazing

May 24th, 2004 by Phil

JTextile 1.1 is out!

There have been a lot of changes in this version, and a massive amount of bug fixing (for the record, it doesn’t suffer from any of Textile4j’s current bugs). It’s hugely reliable, fast, and easy to embed.

It makes use of the GNU regexp library so it can be used on 1.3 JVMs as well as 1.4 and above.

All-in-all, it’s awesome. Get it now! :)

  1. Link to the code (http://philwilson.org/code/jtextile/) is broken! I get a “Forbidden” message.

  2. Hi André, although my broken link is an accident, I recommend you look at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Mylyn/WikiText – JTextile hasn’t been updated in over 5 years whereas WikiText (which is what Textile4J turned into) is very very good!

  3. Phil,

Dropped you a line regarding jtextile. Would love to “shepherd” it a little further, age aside. Also, Textile-J, not Textile4J, became WikiText.

    Happy New Year!
