Robot love

Even after Luis Villa’s latest paean, I am genuinely not sure whether I could buy a Roomba. The thought of it slowly making its way from room to room whilst I’m at work just scares me slightly. Would you still feel as though your house had been invaded if it had been burgled, but by a robot?

I suspect that my daughter’s plaintive cries over the sudden disappearance of all her Barbie and Polly Pocket accessories is enough to shelve any plans to invest in a Roomba any time soon.

I suggest that before investing in a roomba, you consider investing in the company that makes the hideously short-lived internal filters.
Once those babies get clogged, your little robotic vacuum friend is simply a little robotic friend.

However, I amused myself for several months by making the roomba war with my daughter’s automoton monkey.

if you have 4 cats it might not make it much longer than a few months, replacement filters or no. I speak from painful firsthand experience.
