Digital team week notes: September 9th - 13th 2013
13 September, 2013This post was originally published on The University of Bath's Web Services Blog.
With our new glorious leader sunning himself in Spain for a few days, I draw the winning lot to reflect on our output of the past week, it's been a really good one where progress has been made on a wide variety of products:
- Our September Open Day is tomorrow, which we're really looking forward to (10,000 visitors really makes the place buzz!) and we'll be monitoring social media all day and providing traffic updates. To go with this we've redirect traffic for our mobile site http://m.bath.ac.uk to our dedicated mobile Open Days pages.
- For the students starting life with us in a few weeks' time we've updated information about safety and security for which we've worked with the local police force
- For the students coming back to us soon we've added more information on settling back in, and preparing for those all-important exams!
- On the more technical front, we've posted information (as promised!) about our homebrew HTML cycler and we've been working hard on making sure that our research site, which ships next week, has appropriate responsive fallbacks for content which appears in tabs - this is super easy thanks to Foundation
- and last but not least, we've shipped a second beta of the Staff homepage (only accessible by people on our network, sorry!) - used by all of our members of staff multiple times a day, it's one of the most important pages on the site, so we're busy taking feedback and getting ready to roll it out in a couple of weeks!
I hope you enjoy your weekend as much as this otter enjoys his rock:
