OK fine, I cracked.

If you install my extension you can now get random pictures of dogs instead of US news on the BBC website. It uses https://placedog.net/ to provide the dog photos.

It takes a few seconds to load because of some JavaScript that runs on the BBC page, but it should work OK in most places. Let me know with a webmention or on mastodon if it fails horribly.

Again, is it worth it? Well for me it just replaced a story about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a photo of a labrador. You decide.
