Zip file fun

24 July, 2024 - 239 words

Back in March when I was working on my Wordpress-to-Zola exporter I'd written some PHP to generate a .zip file with my markdown site in it, but there was a problem.

15 April, 2024 - 295 words
The move is finally done and sometime last week I switched my blog over to a statically-generated site powered by Zola. This is the first post I’ve written directly into Zola. In a month’s time I’ll have been writing this blog for 22 yea...

I’ve switched to WordPress and hope to import all of my old blog sometime this week (I’ll have to screen-scrape my own blog archives). In related news I was using Gmail to power my email, but was using my own domain to forwa...

Blogging from University

15 May, 2006 - 367 words
When I blog about things at work, it’s normally stuff that’s already been done. Completed tasks. In the past, as it were. This is some discussion about things that haven’t been decided, and reflects only my thoughts, and I’m not terribly important, so don’t read any more into this than you would the mumbling drunk at the bus-stop. We’re looking into rolling out some kind of blogging at w...

25 January, 2006 - 335 words
I don’t get all Dave Winer’s fuss about OPML. Now he’s trying to get his OPML Editor tool officially integrated with WordPress (an addition to the ability to create new blog posts using wordPress.root, which i...
